Organizational meeting of the IPA CIS Observers Group took place in the capital of Moldova

The IPA CIS Observer Team coordinator, Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli Akramsho Felaliev opened the meeting in Chisinau, informing the participants on the team composition, and the tasks related to the runoff Presidential election.

Head of the IIMDD IPA CIS expert group Dmitry Baryshnikov informed the participants about the results of the long-term monitoring of elections.

Director of IIMDD IPA CIS Dmitry Gladey shared on the Observer Team rules of procedure, as well as about the plans to hold several meetings during the runoff, with Chairman of the Central Election Committee of the Republic of Moldova Alina Rusu, presidential candidates Igor Dodon and Maia Sandu, and members of the OSCE ODIHR observer mission.

Dmitry Gladey also stated that the Observer Team would be monitoring the elections at polling stations beyond Moldova – in Baku, Minsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
