The Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democratic and Parliamentary process spoke in the hearing of the Federation Council

On 30 October the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation held parliamentary hearing with the subject The universal election standards and the post-election assessment: international trends and practices.

Members of the Federation council, representatives of NGOs, and academics of the leading higher education institutions took part in the hearing.

The hearing was presided by Chairperson of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev. Among distinguished speakers were Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Russia Vladimir Churov, Human Rights Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Konstantin Dolgov, and the Director of the Internationl Institute for Monitoring Democratic and Parliamentary process Andrey Baranov.
