CIS Experts Examined Impact of Digital Technologies on Social and Economic Development of CIS Member Nations

Today, the Parliamentary Center hosted a regular meeting of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Economy. The event brought together members of the Expert Advisory Board from the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.

The members of the Expert Advisory Board, as well as invited experts from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation discussed the impact of digital technologies on the social and economic development of the CIS Member Nations.

In addition, the meeting considered draft Model Laws on the CIS Digital Industrial Transformation, on the Digital Transformation of the Service Industry of the CIS Member Nations, on Digital Financial Assets to be submitted for consideration of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Economy and Finance on 25 November 2021.

Following a fruitful and lively discussion, the Expert Advisory Board decided to continue discussing the impact of digital technologies on the social and economic development of the CIS Member Nations, as well as issues of ensuring the economic security of the Commonwealth countries at its next meeting in the spring of 2022.
