Cultural Workers Highlighted Importance of Preserving Memory of Victory

On 25 March, on the Day of Culture Worker, a meeting of representatives of creative unions dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 was held at the Cinema House in St. Petersburg.

The key topic of discussion was the activity of cultural workers in preserving the memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and patriotic education.

First Deputy Chair of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation on Culture, member of the Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport, President of the Coordination Council of Creative Unions of Culture Workers of St. Petersburg Elena Drapeko gave a speech on various aspects of the work done and directions for further activities. Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport Igor Minin took part in the meeting on behalf of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.

 The organizers were the Russian Creative Union of Cultural Workers together with the Coordinating Council of Creative Unions of Cultural Workers of St. Petersburg.
