Draft Law on Liability Insurance of Medical Activity of Participants for Patient Harm Prepared

On 13 April 2023, a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights was held in the Tavricheskiy Palace. The participants discussed draft laws on medicine and issues of migration policy.
The Commission approved the draft model law on Liability Insurance of Medical Activity of Participants for Patient Harm.
The provisions of the law allow to settle disputes related to causing harm to the life and health of the patient. In addition, a significant role is assigned to professional associations of medical workers, which should also participate in the assessment of relevant issues.
