Meeting of IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation Took Place

On 13 April, a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation took place at the Tavricheskiy palace, the IPA CIS headquarters.
Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aigul Kuspan was elected Chair of the Commission.
Deputy Chair of the Commission, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev informed about the military biological activities of the United States of America outside its territory.
Recommendations on the Improvement of the Legal Regulation in the Field of Suppression of Illegal Activities in the Waters of the Member Nations and Recommendations on the Improvement of the Legal Regulation of the Activities of the Border Control Agencies in the Field of Countering Terrorism have been adopted and updated.
Member of the Commission, Chair of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Foreign Affairs and National Security Sergei Rachkov presented to the members of the Commission the results of participation in the events of the OSCE PA, the European Parliament, and the PACE.
Head of the Department for International Relations of the Expert and Analytical Department of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation Maximillian Selyutin talked about the past events of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC.
Member of the Commission, First Deputy Chair of the Committees on Issues of the Commonwealth of Independent States and Contacts with Fellow Countryman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Kazbek Taysayev talked about the participation of the IPA CIS Observer Missions in monitoring of the snap elections of MPs to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
