IPA CIS Experts Discussed Banking and Consumer Protection

Today, a meeting of the Expert Advisory Board at the Permanent Commission of the IPA CIS on Legal Issues took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters.

The event was chaired by head of the Expert Advisory Board, judge of the 1st Western District Military Court, Member of the Council of the St. Petersburg Regional Branch of the “Russian Association of Judges” Yury Kozlov. Deputy Secretaries General of the IPA CIS Council – plenipotentiary representatives of  the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Aydin Jafarov , the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Igor Musalimov, the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan – Bakhtovar Safarzoda, specialists and experts attended the meeting.

The participants continued working on the draft Model Laws on Investment and Trust Banking, on Consumer Protection (revised). They studied the texts presented by the developers and discussed proposals and comments on them. Based on the results of the deliberations, the members of the Expert Advisory Board recommended making adjustments to the documents, taking into account the comments made, and decided to submit them for consideration at the next meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues.
