Draft Program on Mutual Recognition of Documents of CIS Labor Migrants Developed

A meeting to review the draft Program on Mutual Recognition of Documents of CIS Labor Migrants was held on 5 October at the CIS headquarters in Minsk.

The event brought together the representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the Council of the Heads of CIS Migration Authorities and the CIS Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee informed the meeting participants about the development of cooperation among the CIS countries in the field of labor migration.

The Uzbek representatives presented the draft Cooperation Program on the Establishment of a Common Mechanism for the Mutual Recognition of Documents of Labor Migrants.

During the discussion, Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Public Health Evgenia Vladimirova spoke about the preparation of model agreements in the field of labor migration. She proposed to develop the draft Model Agreement on the Mutual Recognition of Documents of CIS Labor Migrants.
