Members of IPA CIS Permanent Commission an Agrarian Policy, Natural Recourses and Ecology Approved Draft Concepts of New Model Laws

A meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology was held today in St. Petersburg. The event was held in the Parliamentary Center of the IPA CIS with the use of videoconferencing.

The meeting was attended by the MPs of the IPA CIS Member Nations: the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the IPA CIS Council Secretariat staff members, experts, representatives of specialized universities.

Chairman of the Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova on Agriculture and Food Industry Radu Mudreac was re-elected the Chair of the Permanent Commission.

The participants of the meeting considered a number of draft model laws, including the Draft Concept of the Model Law on Environmental Safety (Revised), the Draft Model Law on Production and Consumption Waste (Revised), the Draft Concept of the Model Law on Specially Protected Natural Areas (Revised), as well as the Draft Model Laws on Access to Environmental Information (Revised), on Organic Agriculture, on Grains, on Legal Regime of Territories Exposed to Radioactive Contamination, on Ecological Funds, and on Beekeeping.
