Relevant IPA CIS Commission Considered a Number of Model Laws on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport

Today, a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport took place via videoconferencing in the Parliamentary center of the IPA CIS in St. Petersburg.

The event was attended by the parliamentarians of the IPA CIS Member Nations: the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the IPA CIS Council Secretariat staff members, experts and representatives of relevant universities. Chair of the Commission, Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Science, Education, Culture and Sport Erkin Zakhidov.

Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on Foreign Relations Anush Begloyan was re-elected the Deputy Chair of the Commission.

The participants of the meeting considered a number of model laws, including the draft Recommendations on Setting Common Approaches to Submitting an Obligatory Electronic Copy of a Printed Publication in the CIS Member Nations, the draft Model Law on State Support of Cinematography, the Model Law on Theaters and Show Business (revised) and the Model Code of Intellectual Property for the CIS Member Nations.
