Draft agreement on Building a CIS-wide Information System on Combating Bio-hazards discussed in Tavricheskiy Palace

Head of the Laboratory of St. Petersburg Research Center for Ecological Safety of the Russian Academy of Sciences Victor Gorniy opened the meeting and spoke on the IPA CIS initiative to draft the agreement.

Head of the Laboratory of space monitoring of agricultural production of the Department of the Earth remote sensing of JSC “National Center for Space Research and Technology” (Republic of Kazakhstan) Nurlan Bekmuhamedov presented colleagues with the information on draft Recommendations on satellite monitoring of farmlands in the CIS through an integrated system.

The expert of St. Petersburg Research Center for Ecological Safety of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alena Kodolova presented a report “On the results of the approval of the draft agreement on Building a CIS-wide Information System on Combating Bio-hazards by the Executive Committee”.

Participants of the meeting also discussed the action plan of the working group for the period of November 2016 – April 2017.
