Meeting of the IPA CIS Council
Interparliamentary hearings Quality of Education in the Context of Common CIS Education Space took place in St. Petersburg

The hearings brought together MPs and education professionals from all the CIS countries. Making the education space accessible to all countries of the Commonwealth was the key topic of the event.
MP, Federation Council, Member of the Committee on Science, Education and Culture Lidiya Antonova and Director of Department for Education Quality, Ministry of Education of Belarus Vladimir Zdanovich moderated the hearings.
In his opening remarks, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Sergeev stressed the importance of the CIS Concept of Common Education Space adopted in 1997 and the related activities of the IPA CIS to promote parliamentary dimension in addressing issues of education.
Lidiya Antonova: "We have many developing projects in the field of economy, and common business. Our ties help us address personnel issues, attract new employees and ensure career opportunities for young professionals".
