IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport discussed draft model laws

A regular meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace, the IPA CIS headquarters.

After addressing the organizational matters the participants considered draft model laws “Digital Notarial Actions in Cross-Border Information Exchange”, “Digital Development”, “Countering the Use of Doping in Sports”, “School Sports”, “Social Tourism”, as well as the draft Convention on Preserving Cultural Heritage of the CIS. A hot debate spurred around the documents: members of the commission discussed the amendments, proposed by the national parliaments of the IPA ICS, in detail, got acquainted with the best practices of international legislators in these areas, shared ideas on strengthening some of the provisions.

As a follow-up of the meeting, the participants discussed the relevant issues of law-making in the IPA CIS member nations in the field of culture, information, tourism and sport.

The meeting brought together deputy secretaries general of the IPA CIS Council – plenipotentiary representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Armenia, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of relevant committees of the national parliaments of the IPA CIS member nations.
