Organizational committee conducted the session of the 3rd International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion”. Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Co-chair of the Organizing Committee Inna Svyatenko and participants discussed the preparation for the Forum.
Starting the meeting, Deputy Speaker announced that the Forum would be held on 19-20 November, at the headquarters of the IPA CIS – the Tavricheskiy Palace.
Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy provided information about the preparation for the 3rd International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion”. He stressed that the Forum aims to consider the main issues in cooperation and partnership, seeking mutually beneficial solutions.
He added that within the business program, experts would present best practices of their regions, inform about support measures and innovative development, identify topics that need consideration, and discuss improvement of the regulatory framework.
Inna Svyatenko elaborated on the structure of the business program: it would include 17 round tables and panel discussions on economics and investments, production, creative industries, culture, education and personnel, beauty, and health. Traditionally, there will be two fashion shows. Designers both from Russian regions and the CIS countries will present their works.
The Senator was confident that the “creative industries” track would be extremely popular at the Forum. This track will discuss the fashion market in the CIS countries and support for small and medium-sized businesses. She mentioned that a list of over 50 speakers had already been formed for the business program.
Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Yelena Perminova emphasized the intensity of the business program and noted the track “education, personnel, and career guidance”. She highlighted that the shortage of skilled personnel is particularly acute today. She expressed hope that experts at the Forum would find solutions to this serious problem.
Such topics as mass-market footwear production, the use of artificial intelligence, the importance of marketplaces and other issues were also considered, and can become a part of discussions.
Russian senators, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, industry organizations, and communities joined the discussion of the Forum preparation.
