Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council paid tribute to the victims of the Leningrad Siege

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko and Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov laid flowers at the memorial of Mother Nation at the Piskarevsky cemetery.
The IPA CIS Council Secretary General Alexey Sergeev, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, and Head of the Administration of Kalinin district of Saint Petersburg Vasiliy Posidelko also participated in the event.
Valentina Matvienko met with the veterans of the Leningrad siege. Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov, Chairman of the Board of St. Petersburg non-governmental organization “Residents of Besieged Leningrad” Elena Tikhomirova, and Chairperson of the International Association of Non-Governmental Organizations of Survivors of the Siege of Hero City Leningrad Valentina Leonenko took part in the meeting.
