Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation celebrates its 25th anniversary

The international conference “Current Role of Parliaments. The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation: 25 years on the path towards the multi-vector parliamentary cooperation.”

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko led the meeting.

“Interparliamentary exchange is of particular importance in the context of crisis developments in the world system, which regrettably affect the institution of parliamentarism. We are confident that free communication among world’s parliamentarians is one of the most important achievements and our common asset that needs to be protected,”- noted Valentina Matvienko.
