Flame of the Commonwealth flying over the IPA CIS headquarters

Flares of the Eternal Flame from the capital cities of the Commonwealth were assembled in St. Petersburg and put together to generate the Flame of the Commonwealth. 

he ceremony took place in the Front Yard of the Tavricheskiy Palace.

A big granite reservoir was used to assemble the flares. Valentina Matvienko addressed the guests of the ceremony. She spoke on the imperative to preserve lasting memories of war, support veterans and combat any attempts to revisit the outcomes of war.
