The outcomes of the 4th international cultural and educational forum “Children of the Commonwealth” were discussed in the Tavricheskiy palace

Chynybay Tursunbekov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and Alexey Sergeev, IPA CIS Secretary General, reported on the results of the 4^th international cultural and educational forum Children of the Commonwealth.

The speakers mentioned that the event had taken place in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic, on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul on 16-23 June 2016. “This significant event has always focused on interesting topics. The environment was its focus theme 2 years ago and last year it was dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the Great Victory. The motto of the forum this year is “The thematic year of the country”, said Alexey Sergeev.

The forum brings together children, their parents and teachers from the CIS states, with a total of about 200 participants every year. This year school students from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan attended the forum in Cholpon-Ata.

The IPA CIS was represented by the delegation from the IPA CIS parliaments and leadership of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.

The participants noted the high level of the guests of the event, emphasized its political significance and reaffirmed the high mission of the forum, which is to unite the new generation and build the sense of commonality across the CIS.
