Valentina Matvienko: "70 years of Victory, a major date for all people"

The Conference took place on 7-9 April in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow and in Voronezh. Vladimir Dolgikh, Member of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, read the message of Valentina Matvienko, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council.

Valentina Matvienko: “70 years of the Victory is a great moment for the humanity. We all remember sufferings and misfortune the War brought to millions. Soviet people played the key role in defeating the enemy paying the dreadful price of millions of lives for independence and freedom”. The Conference is a great opportunity to better learn the lessons of war and instill values of peace in further generations.

This is the sixth conference of this kind involving war historians from all over the world.
