Valentina Matvienko is reelected the Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council

The members of the IPA CIS Council were unanimous. One of the first issues of the session was the presidency at the IPA CIS Council. The CIS members of parliaments took the decision to extend the term of office of the Chairperson-in-Office.

The heads of parliaments voted unanimously for the Speaker of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

It bears reminding that the election of the Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council is held annually as a part of the autumn session of the IPA CIS.
