Valentina Matvienko meets Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev

On Monday, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko met Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, Speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan.

The leaders discussed bi-lateral cooperation with a focus on mutual engagement of the two chambers. Both leaders stressed the importance of parliamentary ties for better integration across the CIS and addressing current issues. Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev mentioned his intention to attend the Session of the IPA CIS Council on 27-28 November in St. Petersburg.
