Vladimir Putin met with members of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation

Traditionally, the meeting took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace and was timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Parliamentarianism, celebrated on April 27.
Vladimir Putin congratulated the legislators on the 112th anniversary of Russian Parliamentarism and noted that there was much to be done in the coming years to implement the objectives set out in his annual address to the Federal Assembly.
Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko and Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin also addressed the meeting.
The event brought together members of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and MPs of the regional legislative bodies. Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Yury Osipov and Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to the IPA CIS Irina Sokolova also participated in the meeting.
