Vladimir Vityuk: "Every generation has its historical mission"

‘Every generation has its historical mission. I deem that our mission is to preserve the memory of those tragic times, of the contribution of our peoples to the Great Victory, of learning the lessons of the World War II and guarding the truth about it so that it never repeats’ said Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, member of the Parliamentarian Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova on agriculture and food industry, head of the delegation to the IPA CIS Vladimir Vityuk during the autumn session of the IPA CIS.
Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova also noted that Moldova had also contributed to the victory: ‘400,000 our fellow countrymen fought in the ranks of the Red Army, 250,000 were awarded and 19 were entitled the Hero of the Soviet Union’.
According to Vladimir Vityuk, on 27 February 2015 the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova declared 2015 the Year of Veterans. It will be marked by cultural, educational and artistic events, restoration of memorials and war cemeteries.
