7th International Symposium the “Tavricheskaya Perspective” held in the IPA CIS headquarters

The headquarters of the IPA CIS provided the venue for the 7th International Symposium the “Tavricheskaya Perspective”: Eurasian Cooperation as an Important Factor of Security and Stability in the Multi-Polar World.

The conference was co-organized by the IPA CIS Council Secretariat and St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council, Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut opened the conference.

Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Yury Osipov welcomed the guests and participants of the conference and mentioned the role of the parliamentary dimension including the activity of the IPA CIS in the development of the legal framework within the integration process, promotion of economic cooperation and intercultural dialogue and ensuring security both on global and regional scale.

The conference was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, Secretary-in-charge of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Petr Ryabukhin, as well as Russian and foreign scientists, heads and specialists of state and private organizations, experts, professors, under- and post-graduate students.

During the plenary session and roundtables the participants discussed key issues of theory and practice of Eurasian cooperation, including political and economic factors of strengthening Eurasian partnership, historical, social and cultural aspects of Eurasian identity formation.
