Beekeeping Experts Discussed Related Draft CIS Model

A roundtable dedicated to the discussion of the draft CIS Model Law on Beekeeping took place today via videoconferencing. The event was organized by the Committee for Legal Consulting and Rule-Making Initiatives of the Union of Beekeepers of Russia.
The meeting was attended by leaders of beekeeping communities and representatives of the unions of beekeepers of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Exporters of Beekeeping Products of the Republic of Moldova, the public organization for promoting the development of industrial beekeeping Industrial Beekeepers of Russia, the public organization Association “INTERMED” of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as experts from the Rostov State University of Economics and CIS research institutes.
Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology Natalia Amburtseva represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the event. She told about the work on the draft Model Law on Beekeeping and emphasized the role of expert support in improving the quality of the document. The experts noted the importance and relevance of the Law development and made many proposals for its improvement.
