Citizens and Defenders of Besieged Leningrad Remembered in Tavricheskiy Palace by Shostakovichs Symphony

Today, the concert dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace. The 7th Symphony by Dmitriy Shostakovich was performed by the “Tavricheskiy” Symphonic Orchestra of the Leningrad region.

Deputies of the IPA CIS Council Secretary General - Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ayk Chilingaryan, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhtovar Safarzoda and Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations Ivan Mushket attended the concert.

The first performance of the 7th Symphony in Leningrad in 1942 has become a vivid example of the courage and resilience of the besieged city.
