Development of Cadet Education in St. Petersburg Discussed in Tavricheskiy Palace

Today, the St. Petersburg Forum of Educational Institutions with Cadet Classes was held in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters. During the opening ceremony of the event, IPA CIS Council Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy welcomed cadets and their tutors. The agenda included a very wide range of issues related to the preparation of future defenders of the Motherland. Dmitriy Kobitskiy recalled that over 30 years of the Assembly’s activities it has adopted dozens of model laws on education, information technologies and the fight against the spread of destructive ideologies.

Head of the Security Service for the North-Western Federal District of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation Pavel Volgin, Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saint-Petersburg Alexander Belsky and Head of the General Directorate of the Ministry for Emergencies in St. Petersburg Alexei Anikin also addressed the Forum participants with welcoming speeches. They highly appreciated the role of educational institutions with cadet classes in the patriotic education of young people and wished students success in their service to the Motherland.
