Nurbek Satvaldiev Took Part in International Conference on Female Migration

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev took part in the international conference “Female Migration: Security Issues” held today at St. Petersburg Modern Academy. The participants of the event discussed issues related to improving life standards and protecting the rights of migrant women, as well as developing cooperation among public organizations in the migration sphere.
Nurbek Satvaldiev greeted the participants of the conference on behalf of the IPA CIS and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and spoke about the importance of discussing issues related to female migration. The Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic at the IPA CIS noted the increase in female migration as a common trend relevant not only for the Kyrgyz Republic, but also for the whole modern world. Migration opens up many new opportunities such as intercultural and interethnic convergence, increased income and improved life quality, creates additional labor, but also poses new challenges that require the development of common approaches and guidelines for action in the field of female migration, such as ensuring the security and protection of migrants’ rights, maintaining an appropriate level of social support.
