Dmitriy Kobitskiy Congratulated Patients of One of Largest Children's Clinics on International Children's Day

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy visited H.Turner National Medical Research Center for Сhildren's Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery on the eve of the International Children's Day.

The premier of the play The Magic Tree” took place in one of the largest state clinic in Russia. The performance became the central event of the cultural rehabilitation project Friendship of the Peoples of the CIS countries”.

As part of the project, the centre's patients learn about the folklore and traditions of the Commonwealth countries in various formats and create national dolls with their own hands. This is part of the rehabilitation phase of treatment and helps the children to improve their functional abilities, develop creative skills and get to know the culture of the CIS countries better.

The performance The Magic Tree” was created with the support on St. Petersburg Puppet Theater Named After Ye. S. Demmeni. Along with professional actors, young patients from the Commonwealth countries and employees of the National Center participated in it.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy сongratulated the children on the upcoming International Children's Day and beginning of the school holidays. He wished the children courage, optimism and a speedy recovery.

Secretary General also noted the work of the staff of the medical institution.

H.Turner National Medical Research Center for Сhildren's Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery develops technologies for the diagnosis, surgical treatment and rehabilitation of children with orthopedic pathology, the consequences of injuries and burns. The center has 12 specialized clinics. Thousands of patients from the CIS countries are treated there every year.

Founded in 1932, the centre is a recognized school of pediatric orthopedic traumatologists - many of its students run research institutes and departments, children's departments and centers in the regions of the Commonwealth countries.
