IPA CIS Council Secretariat Mourns Untimely Passing Away of Valentin Shurchanov

Member of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Member of the IPA CIS Budget Oversight Commission Valentin Shurchanov passed away in his 74^th year of life after the serious illness.

Valentin Shurchanov dedicated more than 20 years to the legislative work – he was elected member of the State Duma of the third, fifth, sixth and seventh convocations, was First Deputy Chair of the Committee on Budget and Taxes.

From 2012 he was a member of the parliamentary delegation of the Russian Federation at the IPA CIS, took active part in the work of the IPA CIS Budget Oversight Commission.

The IPA CIS Council Secretariat mourns the untimely passing away of Valentin Shurchanov and expresses deep condolences to his friends and family.
