International Forum on CIS Green Agenda Took Place in Moscow

On 18 March 2022, the International Economic Forum of the CIS Member Nations “CIS Green Agenda: Cooperation in Development” took place in Moscow.

Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev opened the plenary session. Chairman of the CIS Economic Council, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich, senior officials of relevant ministries and agencies of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan also spoke at the plenary session. Representatives of government offices, chambers of commerce and industry, banking communities and industrial associations, as well as CIS entrepreneurs attended the event.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology Natalia Amburtseva represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the Forum.

The Forum is an annual influential platform where new forms of cooperation between public authorities, business, and civil society of the CIS countries are looking for joint initiatives in the field of achieving sustainable development goals and decarbonization of economy. This year, the participants discussed the approaches in balancing the interests of the state, business and society within the framework of the CIS green agenda.
