Spring Holiday Celebrated in Moldova

Annually on 1 March Moldovans all over the world celebrate one of the most favorite national holidays — Mărțișor.
On this day in the Republic of Moldova, it is a tradition to give each other small boutonnieres in the form of flowers — mărțișors, combining white and red colors. They are worn pinned to clothes until the last day of March, when people tie them to the trees. It is believed that everyone who does this will be successful all year round.
