Tavricheskiy Palace Hosted Celebration of 30th Anniversary of Tajikistan Independence

On 9 September 2021, the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters hosted the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.  

During the event, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhtovar Safarzoda delivered the greetings of Speaker of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zoir Zokirzoda.

In addition, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy gave a congratulatory speech at the event. He highly appreciated the active participation of the Tajikistan MPs in parliamentary interaction between the CIS countries, as well as the work of the Tajikistan representatives during the elections monitoring. Dmitriy Kobitskiy also presented the honorary badge of the IPA CIS “For Merits in the Development of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism” to Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhtovar Safarzoda.

Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in St. Petersburg Homijon Nazari in his welcoming speech told about the consolidation of the Republic of Tajikistan as a sovereign state and emphasized the importance of its achievements.

Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko also sent greetings to the representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan. The greetings highly commended the cooperation level of the regions with the Republic of Tajikistan and expressed hope for further strengthening of partnerships.

At the end of the official part, a concert of Tajik art masters took place in the Catherine’s Hall of the Tavricheskiy Palace. In addition, an exhibition of paintings by Tajik artists and folk crafts and national clothes was deployed in the Dome Hall of the Tavricheskiy Palace.
