Alexey Sergeev met with guests of the IPA CIS PC sessions

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Sergeev met with Sarah Iqbal, Program Officer, Women Business and the Law, World Bank.
Alexey Sergeev welcomed the contacts with the World Bank that have been built for the 24-year history of model law-making – the core activity of the IPA CIS. Sarah Iqbal informed the participants of the meeting that the project she is leading is focused on gender equality. She stressed that gender equality was widely discussed at the Eurasian Women's Forum which took place in September 2015. She expressed willingness to build partner relations going beyond gender equality to other spheres such as ecology or business.
On the same day, Alexey Sergeev met with Head of Regional Office of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Davron Mukhamadiev. The parties discussed further opportunities to continue and develop cooperation moving forward.
