A representative of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat took part in international symposium Roumyantsev Readings 2016

International symposium Roumyantsev Readings 2016 kicked off in Moscow. It is hosted by the Library Assembly of Eurasia and the Russian State Library.
 
The programme of the conference is very diverse and intensive. For the next 2 days, the participants from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will be discussing the particular role and responsibility of libraries in preserving and strengthening the CIS intercultural dialogue.

For more than 20 years, the Library Assembly of Eurasia has been successfully cooperating with the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport. This cooperation is focused on further development of humanitarian and library areas of the CIS.
