An exhibition of student photographs was launched at the Tavricheskiy Palace on the International Day of Tolerance

The opening ceremony of the XII photo exhibition "Petersburg - in the World, Peace - in St. Petersburg ..." dedicated to the International Day for Tolerance took place in the IPA CIS HQ.

The main goal of the photo exhibition is to strengthen tolerance and interethnic relations, to uphold the principles of mutual respect and religious tolerance among young people.

The exposition includes the best works based on the results of the photo contest which involved 60 students from 12 universities of St. Petersburg. The geography of authors of the photographs included Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Russia, Serbia and the Ukraine. More than 600 photos were submitted for the contest.

During the opening ceremony, the winners were awarded in the following nominations: "The City above the Free Neva ...", "Moments of Student Life", "Friendship without Borders", "Far Away from Home ", "Multinational St. Petersburg".

The event brought together famous St. Petersburg artists, photographers, students of universities of St. Petersburg, and guests of the Tavricheskiy Palace.
