IPA CIS Council Secretariat delegation paid tribute to the deceased citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic

St. Petersburg Office of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation opened a book of condolences after the plane crash near Bishkek.

Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Alexey Sergeev, Deputy Secretaries General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ayk Chilingaryan, plenipotentiary representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Khalel Bakenov, plenipotentiary representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev, plenipotentiary representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, plenipotentiary representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as Executive Secretary of the CSTO PA Peter Ryabukhin left a note in the book, saying: “In these mournful moments we would like to express our unity with the people of Kyrgyzstan, relatives and dear ones of those killed and injured in this tragedy”.

On 16 January 2017, the cargo plane Boeing-747 of Turkish ACT Airlines traveling from Istanbul to Bishkek crashed a few kilometers away from the Manas airport, falling on a village in Sokuluk district of Chuyskaya oblast. 15 houses were destroyed. According to preliminary data, 38 people died in the accident.
