IPA CIS delegation participated in the remembrance ceremony at the Piskarevskoe Memorial Cemetery

Today is the 73rd anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Siege. Dozens of remembrance ceremonies took place in the city.

At the ceremony at the Piskarevskoe Memorial Cemetery the IPA CIS Council Secretariat was represented by Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Sergeev and deputy Secretaries General of the IPA CIS: Plenipotentiary Representative of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Aidyn Jafarov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ayk Chilingaryan, Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Khalel Bakenov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Ibod Rakhimov, as well as deputies Secretary General of the IPA CIS Dmitry Gladey, Alexey Dolzhikov, Serguey Kurdin.

With the sounds of metronome, the IPA CIS delegation walked along the cemetery lanes which became the final resting place for hundreds of thousands of those who fell victims to the Siege, and laid flowers and wreaths to the Mother Nation Memorial.
