Mourning ceremony in honor of victims of the Siege of Leningrad took place in St. Petersburg

8 September is a special date for the citizens of St. Petersburg – the Memorial Day for the Victims of the Siege of Leningrad.

Representatives of the Administration of St. Petersburg, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, judicial and law enforcement bodies, clergy, non-governmental organizations, as well as honorary citizens of St. Petersburg, and veterans of the Great Patriotic War and guests of the city.

The delegation of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat included the IPA CIS Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Alexey Sergeev, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Ion Lipciu, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Aleksey Dolzhikov, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat; Director of IIMDD IPA CIS Dmitriy Gladey, as well as other IPA CIS Secretariat staff members, took place in the mourning ceremony.
