Conference coincided with the International Day of Democracy to take place in the Tavricheskiy Palace in autumn

On 15 September 2017 the IPA CIS Council Secretariat will hold a conference in the Tavricheskiy Palace dedicated to the International Day of Democracy.

The conference will bring together politicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations, expert community, educational and scientific institutions, and diplomatic corps.

The participants will discuss the issues of functioning of democratic institutions, the rule of law, and social development.

The International Day of Democracy was established upon an initiative of the UN General Assembly in 2007 on the basis of resolution A/RES/62/7.
