Nurbek Satvaldiev took part in the Conference “Roerich Pact – Peace through Culture”

International research and public conference “Roerich Pact – Peace through Culture” finished in Tallinn (Republic of Estonia). It is dedicated to the five anniversaries: 140th birth anniversary of Elena Roerich, 145th birth anniversary of Svyatoslav Roerich, 30th anniversary of the Estonian Roerich Community and the first anniversary of re-establishing the Committee of the Roerich Pact and the Banner of Peace in Estonia.

The event was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrghyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev. He addressed the participants and guests of the Conference with a welcoming speech and informed them on the IPA CIS active work to improve the CIS legislative framework in the field of preservation of historical and cultural heritage. He also appealed to the organizers of the conference with a proposal to hold the Conference on the Roerich Pact in St. Petersburg in the IPA CIS headquarters. The participants unanimously supported the proposal.

The conference participants discussed the historical aspects of establishing an of an international treaty on protection of cultural heritage, the necessity to resume the activities of the international social movement for peace based on the peace-building ideas of the Roerich Pact, the evolutionary role of culture, the promotion of the ideas of the Roerich Pact, the Banner of Peace, and the philosophical heritage of the Roerich family.
