Dmitriy Kobitskiy participates in the 27th Congress of the International Association of Organizations of Survivors of the Siege of Hero City Leningrad

The plenary session of the Congress, which took place in the Smolniy Palace, was attended by Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Dmitriy Kobitskiy, representatives of city authorities, medical institutions, the mass media. The plenary session was opened by Chairperson of the International Association of Organizations of Survivors of the Siege of Hero City Leningrad Valentina Leonenko. In total, the Congress brought together over 150 people, including 75 siege survivors from various regions of the Russian Federation, the CIS and the countries of near and far abroad.

The participants discussed the measures of social support of the siege survivors, the proposal to extend the status of the “Citizen of the Besieged Leningrad” to those citizens, who had lived in the besieged city for less than four months, the opening of the offices of the State Memorial Museum of Defense and the Siege of Leningrad at St. Petersburg enterprises and abroad, in particular, in the CIS states, etc.
