The Ninth Session of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations (YIPA CIS) is taking place in Cholpon-Ata

Deputy Togara of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrghyz Republic Daniyar Tolonov and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrghyz Republic in the Issyk-Kul Region Uzarbek Zhylkybaev welcomed the participants of the Ninth Session of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations (YIPA CIS).

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrghyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev on behalf of the IPA CIS Secretary General Alexey Sergeev wished the young parliamentarians successful and fruitful work and implementation of plans. 

According to the Regulations on the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations the Kyrghyz Republic assumes chairmanship in 2017. In the framework of the meeting member of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhtiyar Maken devolved the power on a new Coordinator of the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly – member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrghyz Republic Akylbek Jamangulov.

The meeting brought together the young parliamentary delegations of the IPA CIS member nations, which include members of parliament at national, regional and local level of legislative power, as well as leaders of young parliaments, and non-governmental organizations and unions.

The participants will exchange the experience of pursuing the youth policy on countering terrorism, manifestations of national and religious extremism in the youth environment; analyze the work of the YIPA CIS in cooperation with permanent commissions of the IPA CIS on the implementation of such legislative initiatives, as the model law “On the activities of student groups”, recommendations “On cooperation between young scientists of the CIS member nations”.

The participants of the meeting will also consider the draft Recommendations on the Regulation and development of the activities of the young parliamentarians in the CIS member nations, launched recently by the YIPA CIS, and discuss the preparations for the XIX World Festival of the Youth and Students.
