CIS Students Discussed Implementation of Suffrage

On 12 December 2023, an international scientific conference in the debate format “Constitutional Right to Elect and be Elected: Implementation and Expectations” was held at the Tavricheskiy Palace – the headquarters of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. The teams of the Commonwealth of Independent States, St. Petersburg and the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia took part in the event.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket opened the conference.

The winner of the debate was the St. Petersburg team.
