Experts Discussed Issues of Information Legislation at Conference in St. Petersburg

On 11 November, the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference on Legal Regulation in the Electronic Environment Law and Information: Issues of Theory and Practice was held in the Presidential Library.

The conference participants discussed the issues of state and law in the digital era, the transformation of information law institutions and the place of information law in the system of legal sciences in the digital transformation.

The experts also exchanged views on the modern system of information law principles. In addition, the conference raised issues related to working with legal knowledge at the present stage, legal provision of information security – including information security in the quantum era, and others.

Members of the Expert Advisory Board of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications addressed the plenary session: Head of the Information Law and International Information Security sector of the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Law, Professor Tatiana Polyakova, Chief Research Fellow of the Administrative Legislation and Procedure Department of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Lyudmila Tereshchenko, Professor of the Department of Information Law and Digital Technologies of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University, chief researcher of the Information Law and international information security sector of the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Law, Viktor Naumov.

The conference was also attended by Head of the Information Analysis Sector of the Expert and Analytical Directorate of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS – RCC Expert Council Alexander Surygin.
