Preparations for Eurasian Women’s Forum Is on Final Stage

The preparation for the third Eurasian Women’s Forum was discussed in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters. A large-scale international event will be held in St. Petersburg on 13-15 October.

Representatives of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Roscongress Foundation, the St. Petersburg City Administration, the Regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor and the Northern Capital Gateway LLC took part in the discussion. The IPA CIS Council Secretariat was represented at the meeting by the First Deputy Head of the Secretariat Sergey Kurdin and Deputy Head of the Secretariat Elena Kuzina.

It was noted that preparation for the third Eurasian Women’s Forum is on its final stage. The venues have been identified and prepared, a program has been finalized, and media accreditation has been opened.

To date, representatives of 89 countries and 20 international organizations have expressed their desire to participate in the Forum. Among the guests and speakers there are the heads of parliaments and governments, famous scientists, entrepreneurs, public figures.

The meeting participants paid special attention to measures ensuring sanitary and epidemic safety during the Forum.

In total, about 300 events are expected to be held at the Forum on five platforms dedicated to the mission of women in shaping a new agenda of peace and trust, maintaining health, developing the economy and digitalization, preserving the planet and implementing social changes.

The Forum is co-organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
