Armenian Parliament Ratified Protocol on Extension of Customs Privileges

The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia ratified at its regular session the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty of 10 October 2014 on Adherence of the Republic of Armenia to the Treaty of 29 May 2014 on the Eurasian Economic Union and the similar document within the framework of the EEC with the Kyrgyz Republic.

In 2015 when acceding to the Eurasian Economic Union, the Republic of Armenia received the 5-year customs privileges on 930 kinds of goods. On 20 December 2019, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council decided to extend the privileges of the Republic of Armenia for one more year. That will result in significant cost savings on the customs difference for the importing Armenian companies and allow them to use the funds for business development.
