Baku Hosted a Meeting Between Sahiba Gafarova and Tanzila Narbayeva

On 29 June 2022, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Sahiba Gafarova met with Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva.
Sahiba Gafarova spoke at the meeting about the common religious and spiritual values of the two peoples, and also noted the importance of the recent state visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan and the documents signed there for the strategic cooperation between the two countries. The Speaker of the Milli Majlis stressed the special role of parliaments in the process of deepening bilateral relations.
In turn, Tanzila Narbaeva noted the importance of the Azerbaijani-Uzbek forum of women entrepreneurs, in which she took part. The Speaker of the Oliy Majlis focused on the need to develop relations at the level of parliamentary committees.
