Belarusian MPs Considered Ten Draft Laws

On 28 October 2020, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the seventh convocation held a regular meeting of the fourth session and considered ten draft laws.

In particular, the Draft Law on Selection and Seed Production of Agricultural Plants was considered and adopted in the first reading. Moreover, the Draft Law on Changing the Codes was considered and adopted in the second reading.

The Draft Law on Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus on State Regulation of Production and Turnover of Alcoholic, Non-Food Alcohol-Containing Products and Non-Food Ethyl Alcohol was also submitted for consideration in the first reading.

Further, the MPs were briefed on the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Provision of Pensions and the Law on State Social Insurance. The final version of the draft law includes the norms of three draft laws: on Amendments to Laws (on Pension Matters), on Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus on Individual (Personified) Accounting in System of the National Social Insurance, on Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus on Provision of Pension.

During the meeting, the MPs also listened to a report on the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus on Hydrometeorological Activities.

The Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Law on Industrial Safety was also presented during the meeting.

According to the press service of the House of Representatives, the MPs also discussed draft laws on the ratification of protocols on amending a number of bilateral agreements, as well as on the ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Mutual Recognition of Visas and on Other Issues Related to the Entry of Foreigners and Stateless Persons into the Territory of the States Parties to the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State.
