Mazhilis of Parliament of Republic of Kazakhstan Adopts New Ecological Code in First Reading

Today, the plenary session of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin, approved in the first reading a package of draft laws in the field of environmental legislation, including the Ecological Code and corresponding draft laws – legislative amendments on environmental issues, amendments to the Administrative Code of Violations on environmental issues, as well as the amendments to the Tax Code and the law on its implementation on environmental issues.

According to the press service of the chamber, the draft of the new Environmental Code is aimed at creating more efficient and transparent system of state regulation and management in the field of environmental protection.
